Protect and Restore Sierra Waters
Save the Sierra's Rivers, Lakes and Streams

Some of our favorite childhood memories are from time spent at Sierra lakes and reservoirs like Royal Pines, Donner Lake, and Jackson Meadows. These are special memories of the quietness of the crisp early mornings, the glistening of the fish in clear waters, and the peace and camaraderie of being together in such majestic Sierra places.
But unfortunately, the reality is that our Sierra waters are no longer the pristine places of our childhood memories. Not everyone stewards the Sierra like we do; and even the best-intentioned people can unknowingly contribute sediment and other pollutants into our Sierra waters.
Not only do our Sierra waters provide recreational respite and entertainment to hundreds of thousands each year, but they also provide drinking water to the majority of Californians, and clean water for agriculture and commerce. Sadly, most Sierra rivers, lakes and streams are impaired chemically, biologically and physically.
The Sierra Nevada Alliance is a leading organization working to stop this pollutionand protect and restore our Sierra rivers, lakes and streams so that clean, clear waters, abundant fisheries and wildlife are not just memories from the past.
With your generous support, the Alliance can continue being a strong champion for the unpolluted Sierra rivers and lakes that we all remember and cherish. Your special gift now will help the Alliance achieve our mission of protecting Sierra waters.
No Sierra beach should ever be closed due to pollution. No fisherman should ever worry about eating the fish caught in a Sierra lake. The bears, fish, frogs and other amazing wildlife should never be at risk because the waters in theirSierra home are polluted.
Help protect and restore the rivers, lakes and streams of the Sierra Nevada, and support the Sierra Nevada Alliance today!
