The Sierra Nevada Alliance has been protecting and restoring Sierra lands, water, wildlife and communities since 1993. Our mission is to protect and restore the natural resources of the Sierra Nevada for future generations while promoting sustainable communities.

The Sierra Nevada Alliance is an Alliance of conservation groups that are based or work in the Sierra Nevada region. There are over 85 Member Groups that span the entire 400 mile mountain range.

The Sierra Nevada Alliance unites individuals and groups behind a common vision. The Alliance envisions a Sierra where natural and human communities coexist in harmony. A Sierra where residents and visitors alike understand and value the unique qualities of the range and protect the places they love.

To continue to enjoy the Sierra and deliver this precious national and natural treasure into the hands of future generations, we need to work together.

The Sierra Nevada Alliance believes each of us has a responsibility to future generations to provide the same beauty, resources, inspiration and access to the Sierra that we enjoy today.

As individuals, we make a difference by making changes in our daily lives and sharing our talents, resources and knowledge. As groups, we make a difference by combining individual actions and holding decision makers accountable for saving the Sierra's special places. The Alliance combines individual and group efforts across the region to produce maximum results.

Sierra Nevada Alliance Members receive  invitations & discounts to special events, such as our Annual Conference and our Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival and our quarterly Sierra News. We also offer the free Sierra Nevada Alliance Weekly, an electronic update with news articles, information and events regarding conservation and sustainability issues happening in the Sierra.
